AIPUT welcomes GeoPost to its London Heathrow portfolio

- Group

AIPUT is pleased to announce that GeoPost, a subsidiary of French postal group La Poste, have taken a prime warehouse of almost 30,000 sq ft at its Camgate Centre in London Heathrow.

Unit 1 is a warehouse of 30,000 sq ft in a strategic location off Bedfont Road in an 'off airport' location, and within 1.5 miles from Heathrow's Cargo Terminal. GeoPost, operating as DPD, will join two specialist airport related users on the estate, namely Vistair and Straight Freight who have been established occupiers for several years.

GeoPost will be operating a 'last mile' delivery operation for the airport and into the south west quadrant of London, including Hounslow and Feltham, and follows the dramatic growth of the internet retailing industry in recent years, and the potential privatisation of Royal Mail in the coming months.

Nick Smith, Fund Manager for AIPUT commented:

"We are delighted that GeoPost have chosen our Camgate Centre to strengthen their Heathrow and South East coverage and customer base, and to grow our relationship with them. The expansion of online shopping in recent years is shaping global logistics in many different ways, and we at AIPUT are tailoring our accommodation and property services to meet the growth of this exciting express parcel delivery industry. GeoPost's innovative service operation and specialist customer focused culture complements our world class portfolio of customers, and supports the growth of the wider Heathrow business community."
